Welcome to Fundamentals of Psychotherapy PSYC 3820 TR5!
This website is the support for the undergraduate class on Fundamentals of Psychotherapy. It has been constructed as part of the Open Pedagogy Fellowship (newly named Open Knowledge Fellowship) from Mina Rees Library at the Graduate Center, CUNY.
I envision the classroom as a collaborative space where students’ needs and thirst for knowledge are at the center of the interactions: The Syllabus is validated and adjusted during the first few sessions. It’s the same for the grading system, the class rules, and the weight of each assignment.
Under Class Schedule, you will find the menu for a 15-week semester. On that page, some of the course materials that are fully open, are available by clicking on words or sentences in blue. Psychology and Psychotherapy still have some work to do to have more open access materials: if you are a student, you have access to the full Course Material using Brooklyn College Library or password-protected documents for copy-right reasons. This is a Pdf of the full list of the Course Material.
The Course Glossary is built with students’ contributions as we move through the semester.
Have a great semester!
